Job Summary:
The IT Project Lead (Mid) will play a crucial role in the Service Operation team, focusing on enhancing data management practices in accordance with Executive Order 14028 and Memorandum 21-31. This position involves overseeing the enrollment of enterprise IT assets into the centralized logging repository, leading the development of schemas to standardize log ingestion, and ensuring effective customer engagement with system owners. The IT Project Lead will also manage the independent validation and verification (IV&V) of consolidated logs, support the review and approval of secured external website access requests (EWARS), and oversee the Enterprise IT configuration Change Management process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage projects related to the enrollment of enterprise IT assets into the centralized logging repository, ensuring timely completion and adherence to standards.
• Develop and implement project plans, including defining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with team members to design and standardize schemas for logs being ingested into the logging repository.
• Engage with system owners to facilitate their enrollment, providing guidance and support throughout the process.
• Coordinate and conduct independent validation and verification (IV&V) of consolidated logs to ensure compliance and data integrity.
• Oversee the review and approval process for secured external website access requests (EWARS).
• Manage the Enterprise IT configuration Change Management process, ensuring all changes are documented and assessed for risk.
• Utilize project management tools to track progress, report on status, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Provide mentorship and support to junior team members, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Unique Skills/Tasks/Software:
• Proficiency in Cybersecurity SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Elastic).
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform applications (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
• Familiarity with Atlassian Software products (JIRA, Confluence, Service Desk) for project tracking and documentation.
Preferred Certifications:
• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Splunk Core Certified Power User
• ITIL v4 Practice Manager (PM)
• Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in IT project management or related fields, with a focus on data management.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at various levels.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices is a plus.
