The IT Project Coordinator is a vital role that supports the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT initiatives by collaborating with diverse cross-functional teams. This position combines project coordination with Scrum Master responsibilities, ensuring effective communication, alignment on objectives and timelines, as well as timely resolution of inter-team dependencies and blockers. The IT Project Coordinator will be key in keeping teams organized, focused, and on track to deliver high-quality technology solutions that meet business goals.
Key Responsibilities of the IT Project Coordinator: - Facilitate Scrum of Scrums ceremonies to enhance collaboration among agile teams.
- Assist Project Managers and Scrum Masters with sprint planning, JIRA alignment, user story tracking, and backlog management.
- Support technical teams with process documentation, cutover planning, and post-migration validation. Maintain and update RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) regularly to keep key users and leadership informed.
- Prepare and distribute weekly/monthly status reports, dashboards, and metrics to effectively communicate project health. Develop and maintain Business Process Documents (BPDs), demo tracking sheets, build documentation, and sign-off workflows.
- Standardize documentation practices across projects to ensure traceability and compliance.
- Engage with functional leads, team members, developers, QA, and third-party leads to capture project needs and ensure seamless end-to-end delivery. Address concerns or escalations promptly and ensure resolutions through appropriate channels.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications for the IT Project Coordinator Position: - Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, coupled with at least 3 years of experience in IT project coordination or Agile team support.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM, or equivalent certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the IT software development lifecycle.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in project management tools such as JIRA, Smartsheet, MS Excel, and various reporting tools.
- Prior experience as a Scrum Master and/or Business Analyst is highly desirable.
- Experience with SAP Cloud ALM or other ALM applications is a plus.
