WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Our Programmers eagerly perform complex and analytical program coding using Symitar's PowerOn language. They are responsible for software integration and external application interface development involving third party platforms.
Location, Schedule Availability & Salary Information
- Washington Terrace, Utah
- Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, flexible schedule
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- On call evenings and weekends for emergency job related issues, as needed.
- Guaranteed Base Wage + Bonus, commensurate with experience
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Cultivate and effectively manage long-term, trusting relationships.
• Install, modify, enhance and customize the organization's core processing system (Symitar); - Customize, design, code, and maintain business applications and forms in a Symitar core platform environment utilizing PowerOn, Symform, Javascript, HTML and other appropriate programming languages;
- Adhere to full-project lifecycle development by identifying requirements, designing specifications, developing code, testing, troubleshooting and implementing programs into the production system(s) in a professional, quality manner;
- Continually review and monitor systems, application capabilities, and department needs.
- Analyze and improve Symitar processes;
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new Symitar products and services;
- Implement and troubleshoot programming changes/modifications and completes complex data analysis;
- Troubleshoot and resolve user issues arising from daily Symitar operations;
- Monitor daily processing on the credit union's Symitar system and addresses issues through troubleshooting and software programming;
- Provide data and enhancements to departments and operational areas as requested;
- Communicate with stakeholders to determine business requirements and processes to develop programming project specifications;
- Prioritize, organize, and schedule programming projects for assigned systems, including Symitar and other in-house applications.
- Comply with all regulations as required by law.
• Actively participate in continuing education related to credit union career development.
Experience, Education & Certification
- College degree in technical field such as Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Experience programming (C , HTML, JAVA, JavaScript), Symitar programing and computer operations knowledge is preferred.
- 1+ years of Symitar development experience is preferred but not required.
- 1+ years of experience in database management is preferred. (SQL, Access, UNIX)
- 1+ years of financial institution is preferred but not required.
