About the Role: Mfinite Consulting is seeking a
Temporary IT Programmer to assist the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) in analyzing code provided by the District of Columbia. This analysis will help determine whether Orchard could serve as a replacement for the Maryland Accountability Reporting System (MARS).
Key Responsibilities: - Code Analysis and Review:
- Analyze code for issues, inefficiencies, and areas of improvement.
- Evaluate code for readability, maintainability, and performance.
- Debugging and Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and resolve bugs within the code.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand problem areas and provide solutions.
- Code Optimization:
- Identify opportunities to optimize code for scalability and performance.
- Documentation:
- Document code analysis, findings, and changes made.
- Create technical documentation for recommended solutions.
- Coding and Implementation:
- Push code to the testing environment and verify functionality.
- Modify code to comply with the Office of School and Community Nutrition Programs (OSCNP) specifications.
Mandatory Requirements: - Education: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining applications using C within a .NET framework.
- Proficiency in MySQL, writing and optimizing SQL queries, integrating databases with applications, and developing database stored procedures/functions.
- Preferred Certification: Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) certification.
