Job DescriptionYour Role The Operations Portfolio team within Blue Shield of California provides robust solutions for our business partners, providers and members which improve the overall health care experience from claims processing to benefit enrollment. IT Product Manager, Senior will report to the Senior Manager, Applications Services Lead in the Operations Portfolio. In this role you will be responsible for the development and support of complex technology solutions related to the Operations Portfolio. This includes interfacing with IT, business, and vendor partners to understand and influence requirements and technical solutions that optimizing for cost, quality, and fit for purpose.
ResponsibilitiesYour Work In this role, you will:
- Define product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities, partnering with several Operations portfolio teams supporting Membership, Provider and Claims workflows
- Create, manage and prioritize product feature backlog
- Work closely with the Product team to deliver iterative deliverables to deliver business value
- Collaborate with cross functional product teams to assess impacts to as-is operations portfolio workflows
- Partner with the Solution Delivery lead, architects, Support team to solution design and support of requirements
- Research and analyze market to influence the technology roadmaps
- Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends
- Provide technical leadership in designing and implementing large-scale, complex enterprise applications requiring high performance and availability
QualificationsYour Knowledge and Experience - Requires a bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- Requires at least 5 years of prior relevant experience
- Professional experience as a Product Manager/Product Owner is desirable
- Proven application of Agile process and principles
- Requires good communication and leadership skills
- Requires good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work with ambiguity and problem solving
- Strong healthcare domain experience
- Preferred healthcare experience in enrollment, billing, provider, claims & payment

Two Ways of Working:
- Hybrid (Default): Work from a business unit-approved office at least two (2) times per month (for roles below Director-level) or once per week (for Director-level roles and above).Exceptions:
- Member-facing and approved out-of-state roles remain remote.
- Employees living more than 50 miles from their assigned offices are expected to work with their managers on a plan for periodic office visits.

- On-Site: Work from a business unit-approved office an average of four (4) or more days a week.
