IT Product Manager III

Subscriptions Product team within our company is responsible for building and maintaining complex software systems that caters to the needs of membership subscriptions services and Protection Plans. Subscriptions is a vital part of our business model and its strategy for growing meaningful customer relationships. Our team supports a substantial existing line of plans and subscriptions and is moving toward a modular, modern, platform to support new opportunities such as recurring paid membership, service/warranty plans, streaming and software subscriptions.
We develop new subscription partnerships and offers that support an omni-channel experience, plan lifecycle, activation, and one-time or recurring billing. Subscriptions within our domain are defined by; software services, streaming, protection plans, and membership where we have a contract with the customer to provide the subscription and/or manage the recurring billing of the subscription.
Project Description:
The Product Manager III is part of the Subscriptions team within the Digital, Analytics and Technology (DAT) org at the company. We are looking for a Product Manager to join us that will be responsible for understanding and evolving our protection plan platform. This product manager will need to work with peers and cross functional stakeholders to understand the products we are supporting and how the data we generate supports the business needs. They will also need to work with engineers to understand the data published, be responsible for the quality of the data that is transferred from the old system to the new. This individual must be able to work with multiple teams to ensure the data is setup accurately.
Position Summary/Job Description:
• Working directly with business partners (internal and external) to fully understand their business problems and use that understanding to drive the Subscriptions protection platform priorities and delivery
• Be able to clearly articulate goals and outcomes
• Create and drive a roadmap that will show how business continuity will be maintained while propelling the business into a better way of obtaining data
• Partner with individuals and influence without authority in order to get objectives met
• Drive a culture of innovation and Build, Measure, Learn cycle in the team
• Meeting with key stakeholders, listening to and understanding customer feedback, and responding to product suggestions
• Define and track key performance indicators to measure success of Protection Plans platform
• Define and document product epics and stories, and manage a healthy prioritized backlog
• Collaborate and partner with the engineering team to ensure story content is understood; the need, value, acceptance criteria are clear and complete
• Actively participate in squad ceremonies
• Accountable for what is delivered and can demonstrate and communicate with stakeholders that their needs are being met
Skills Overview:
- A bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field
- High level of comfort with technology and its development
- Experience understanding data, data models, data queries and familiarity with ETL processes
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in product management or a related field
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Experience with Technical/platform products
- Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
- Ruthlessly prioritize and focus on product features that can drive maximum impact with minimal resources
