Job Description
JOB OBJECTIVE:
Use workload automation software to manage, schedule, and optimize the execution of
business processes, transactions, and workflows to increase efficiency, reduce manual
intervention, and reduce errors and delays in end-to-end processes. Serve as a point of
contact to create a positive customer support experience and build rapport and trust
with business partners and application teams.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Using workload automation software, build and validate job flows, calendar
requirements, and scheduling criteria across all platforms. Confirm automated jobs and
schedules comply with established standards, are efficient, and meet processing
requirements. Assist application teams and business partners in in defining automation
requirements and task scheduling activities to ensure batch schedules are properly
configured and optimized. Provide quality control and testing services during the
development of new task scheduling. Monitor and analyze business requirements,
procedures, and problems to recommend or implement changes and improvements to
workload automation jobs and schedules. Identify and resolve, in a timely fashion,
issues that interrupt or adversely affect the normal workflow of system processing.
Engage with the appropriate support teams and/or coordinate resolution of issues and
incidents. Respond to calls and inquiries to facilitate the timely resolution of incidents
and completion of requests for service. Assist in the creation and maintenance of
departmental procedures, best practices, and standards. Identify and recommend
enhancements to improve the productivity of the operations and task scheduling areas.
Work with vendors and third parties to troubleshoot and resolve issues as needed.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Coach or train others on the use of company provided workload automation software
Create Knowledge Articles to retain knowledge within the organization. Assist team
members with the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of problems. Report on job and schedule
activity as requested. Test workload automation schedules and jobs during new
installations or upgrades to workload automation software. Support Disaster Recovery

testing. Participate in the "on-call" rotation as necessary and when assigned. Perform
other duties as assigned by management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
