Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT PC Technician Summer 2025 Intern to support the day-to-day operational efficiency of our computing infrastructure. This role will focus heavily on hardware and software troubleshooting, Windows 11 upgrade execution, and general desktop support. The technician will play a critical part in system refreshes, user issue resolution, and maintaining a secure and high-performing endpoint environment.

Position Requirements/Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Pursuing degree (Associate or Bachelor) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field

Experience: Courses in IT, or related experience

Proven track record performing PC refreshes and imaging

Experience migrating and upgrading systems to Windows 11 is highly desirable

Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and endpoint security tools preferred

Relevant internship experience a plus

Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills

Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues

Solid understanding of Windows operating systems, with a strong focus on Windows 10 and 11

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Ability to clearly communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical users

Customer-focused mindset and a team-oriented attitude

Essential Duties:
  • Perform PC refreshes and system deployments, including imaging, setup, and configuration.
  • Support Windows 11 upgrade initiatives, including pre-checks, compatibility validation, and post-upgrade support.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Resolve software issues related to OS, applications, and network connectivity.
  • Respond to IT support requests in a timely manner, both in-person and via ticketing system.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and asset inventory.
  • Assist with IT-related projects and infrastructure upgrades as assigned.
  • Provide end-user support and guidance on system use and best practices.
