We are seeking an IT Operations Specialist to join our team and provide excellent IT support for TVS on the LCST Team Leidos contract. As an IT Operations Specialist at TVS Supply Chain Solutions, you will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to support our internal customers and colleagues across a range of IT hardware and software. Your responsibilities will include implementing application upgrades, supporting various IT projects, and maintaining a secure, high-availability infrastructure, servers, and networks through monitoring, support, optimization, and improvement. A proactive, can-do attitude is essential.
Security Clearance Requirement
Candidates must be eligible for Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance and a subsequent Security Check (SC). This involves verifying identity, right to work in the UK, employment, financial and family history, and a basic criminal records check for unspent convictions. Candidates must have resided in the UK for at least 5 years to meet SC eligibility requirements.
Job Responsibilities
You will work as part of the Bristol IT Team supporting the LCST contract and other UK sites. Your support will encompass hardware, software, IT requests, onboarding/offboarding, and involvement in key IT projects supporting our infrastructure and development teams. Suitable candidates will:
- Manage and execute application upgrades as part of BAU and change requests
- Become an SME in selected applications, creating and communicating process documents
- Ensure high performance, availability, and security of IT infrastructure and applications
- Independently analyze, diagnose, and resolve issues in real-time, providing end-to-end problem resolution
- Provide timely escalations to 3rd line support when necessary
- Manage faults reported to third-party suppliers, maintaining communication updates
- Assist with procurement and configuration of PCs, laptops, and other equipment
- Promote IT best practices and increase user community knowledge of core IT systems
- Provide remote and onsite assistance
Qualifications and Skills
- Highly driven with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to work independently with good organizational skills and self-motivation
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on user impact
- Understanding of service and network infrastructure
- Experience with Office 365 administration and training
- Windows 10/11 desktop support
- Mobile support for Android and Apple devices
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and SharePoint
- Knowledge of Windows Server environments
- AWS experience is desirable
