- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve basic network connectivity problems.
- Monitoring: Tracking network performance indicators like uptime, latency, packet loss, and hardware utilization using monitoring tools.
- Hardware and Software: Assisting with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.
- Documentation: Contributing to the documentation of network configurations and procedures.
- Learning and Development: Self-motivated to learn and gain practical experience in network technologies.
- Security: Assisting with implementing and maintaining basic network security measures.
- Collaboration: Working with other IT professionals and users to address network issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Must be willing to travel extensively to Illinois, Ohio, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience desirable.
- Basic Networking Knowledge: Understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and common network protocols.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve basic network problems.
- Communication: Good communication skills to interact with other IT professionals and users.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with network hardware and software, including routers, switches, wireless access points and network monitoring tools.
- Certifications: CompTIA Network+, or Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST) Required. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred.
