Role: IT Modernization Analyst - .NET. Azure
Duration: 2 Months (Contract) W2
Location: Salem, OR (Remote)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a comprehensive assessment of existing legacy systems (Excel, Access, SQL Server).
- Document business processes, data flows, and system dependencies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define modernization objectives and priorities.
- Analyze technical and functional gaps between current systems and proposed .NET/Azure-based architecture.
- Provide recommendations for platform consolidation, migration strategy, and architecture design.
- Ensure all recommendations and documentation align with WCAG accessibility and SDLC security best practices.
- Develop and present findings and strategic roadmaps to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support project planning, timelines, and risk assessments related to modernization efforts.
- Work closely with IT teams, developers, and business users to ensure alignment and readiness.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in IT systems analysis or modernization projects.
- Strong understanding of legacy systems, especially Excel/Access/SQL Server applications.
- Proven experience with .NET and Microsoft Azure environments.
- Familiarity with SDLC and security best practices (e.g., threat modeling, secure coding standards).
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 or higher and experience ensuring accessibility compliance in applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in public sector or statewide IT modernization initiatives.
- Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator).
- Background in business process improvement or enterprise architecture.
