As a Manufacturing Systems Support/IT Support Engineer at Eastman Kodak, you will help to design and implement innovative solutions to support manufacturing, business, and IT process improvements for our global manufacturing organization.
Responsibilities:
- Migrate 32-bit operating systems and applications to a 64bit environment through virtualization, hardware and/or software upgrades.
- Work with manufacturing control systems (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell), HMIs and shop floor automation systems to improve efficiency and perform upgrades.
- Work directly with stakeholders to analyze current manufacturing processes and needs, understand functional gaps, and make best practice/strategic advantage recommendations for improvement based on professional knowledge, and both internal and industry trends.
- Define and implement functional and technical specifications, and requirements for proposed solutions.
- Develop and publish documentation for technical resources, peers, and end users.
- Interact with stakeholders including infrastructure and operations teams, for effective deployments and service levels.
- Mentor, manage and coach IT professionals to create productive, high-performance teams.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Electrical, Information Systems, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics), OR a 2-year degree is required.
- 4+ years of experience required in manufacturing control systems, HMIs, data acquisition, and shop floor automation.
- Knowledge of associated PLC coding, primarily Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Legacy operating systems, programming languages, machine communication protocols, processes, and reporting.
- Experience in programming languages and environments such as Visual Basic, VEE or LabVIEW beneficial.
- Experience performing systems analysis and identifying & prioritizing improvements and upgrades.
- Demonstrated and well-developed analysis skills.
- Excellent design, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work within and lead teams locally and worldwide.
- Ability to quickly learn while creatively applying new concepts.
