IT Manager - Oracle Business Systems
Location: Onsite - Chicago, IL
Compensation: $175,000 - $225,000 (depending on experience and fit)

With a long-tenured team member retiring, the organization is seeking an experienced IT Manager - Oracle Business Systems to take charge of its Oracle EBS platform and associated systems supporting finance, supply chain, and operations. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role with close access to executive leadership.
Role Overview:
This hands-on managerial position is ideal for someone who values long-term stability over vertical growth. You'll oversee a team of five business analysts and directly manage Oracle EBS (version 12 preferred), ensuring alignment with business needs and compliance requirements. The role is 100% onsite in Chicago, with no remote or hybrid flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations, optimization, and maintenance of Oracle EBS and other enterprise systems
- Lead system upgrades, patching, regression testing, and vendor integrations
- Translate business requirements into functional configurations and system enhancements
- Maintain SOX compliance and ensure effective role-based access controls
- Manage and mentor a team of five business analysts
- Partner closely with finance, supply chain, and operations teams to improve process efficiency
- Support Hyperion and other financial reporting tools
- Resolve ERP issues promptly and thoroughly
- Collaborate with external vendors for support, performance, and licensing
- Contribute to IT strategy and long-term modernization efforts
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5+ years of hands-on Oracle EBS experience in a manufacturing setting (Version 12 preferred)
- Strong grasp of SOX compliance and audit requirements
- SQL proficiency for troubleshooting and reporting
- Prior experience supporting finance and supply chain operations
- Experience mentoring or managing a small IT/business systems team
- Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of total relevant experience
- Experience with Hyperion, Demandtra, or Microsoft 365 integrations
- Background in food manufacturing or CPG
- Experience in a publicly traded company
