The Position: As the IT Manager, you will oversee all aspects of network infrastructure, cybersecurity, broadcast technology, and IT support for our Traverse City office and other locations as needed. You will work closely with various departments to ensure seamless technical operations in a fast-paced media environment. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing IT staff members and managing the day-to-day operations of the IT department.
Responsibilities: - Manage IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems.
- Support broadcast and digital operations, ensuring high uptime and reliability.
- Oversee cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems.
- Develop and implement IT policies and best practices for security and efficiency.
- Provide technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Manage IT vendors and service providers to optimize costs and services.
- Oversee IT staff members, delegating tasks and ensuring efficient workflow.
- Monitor and manage the day-to-day operations of the IT department.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to improve workflows.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of IT experience, preferably in a media, broadcast, or digital publishing environment.
- Proficiency in network management, Windows and Mac environments, and cloud-based services.
- Experience with broadcast technology is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Great Plains backend is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
