Job Description: - This leadership role is responsible for directing all IT activities in support of all plants within a region. This role, under the leadership of the Director of I/O, is accountable for identifying and delivering regional IT services in collaboration with global IT directors.
- This role is responsible for the operations of the IT infrastructure and operations (I&O) in the region according to the standards, procedures and policies defined at the corporate level.
- This individual will have solid technical infrastructure experience, strong business knowledge and be proficient in the local language and culture.
- The role contributes to the localization of IT standards to fit the local and regional constraints and needs.
- Working closely and able to communicate fluently with the IT Business Partners and Architects in North America, the IT Lead will support the Woodbridge legacy Systems and any new systems that are implemented in his/her Region.
- He or she will drive the analysis and assist with the design of new solutions. New solutions will be aligned with IT standards.
- He/She will contribute in all systems lifecycle from requirements gathering, analysis, design to deployment and support.
Responsibilities: - Identifies the key business strategies and approved initiatives within the region and communicates this senior IT leadership on a regular basis.
- Communicates the mission, vision and priorities of the IT organization to the regional leadership on a regular basis.
- Follows the IT PMO and Service Desk standards and procedures in initiating IT work requested by regional leadership.
- Participates in the development of the I&O strategy and roadmap, and ensures its integration with the overall Regional strategic plans
- Acts as a trusted advisor, and builds and maintains relationships with the regional leadership, other IT leaders and Corporate Engineering leaders to develop a clear understanding of Corporate and Regional business needs; ensures cost-effective delivery of IT services & security to meet those needs, and is able to respond with agility to changing business priorities.
- Executes infrastructure projects to as required for the region and as directed by the PMO.
- Performs analysis of available options to enhance performance and reliability of the plant infrastructure; Maintain Data Center Operations at the plant level to meet Service Level Agreements
- Responsible for WPS and 5S in the plant's computer rooms.
- Monitor, measure, and optimize performance of all network data center, servers and storage equipment ensuring maximum uptime
- Reports Plant infrastructure uptime, Data Centre Disaster Recovery, Power Consumption, Servers and Storage metrics as required by the Manager IT Infrastructure
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve plant infrastructure issues to successful resolution or escalate as appropriate
- Respond to assigned help desk tickets, for Plant Infrastructure support ensuring timely feedback and closure
- Maintains currency on new technologies and platforms and collaborates on the direction on what emerging technologies should be assimilated, integrated and introduced within I&O to ensure IT capabilities respond to the needs of the region's business strategy.
- Special attention must be placed on the technology capabilities and availabilities within their region,
- Assists in Championing I&O involvement in the IT organization's innovation efforts and its role in experimenting with new solutions to take advantage of business opportunities.
- Assists the Director I&O in the development of I&O sourcing strategy and provides executive oversight for strategic vendor and partner relationship management as it relates to procurement in that specific region.
- Assists the Director I&O in forecasting future skill needs to acquire and develop an IT regional workforce.
- Deep understanding of current and emerging I&O technologies and how other enterprises within their regions are employing them.
- Understanding of ITIL service management practices, as well as emerging methods like DevOps that are optimized for agility.
- Serves on regional business planning and policymaking committees as requested by regional leadership.
- Serves on various Corporate Steering committees as assigned by the V-P IT, representing The IT function
- Provides leadership, coaching and direction to the Regional IT team.
Requirements: - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience
- The candidate must possess fluency in English and Mandarin language.
- Knowledge of networking technologies, including; Network, Servers ,Cloud Management and monitoring Tools.
- Extensive working knowledge of networking standards, protocols, security, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
- Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft and IBM operating systems and virtualization tools such as VMWare and Microsoft HyperV as well as desktop software such as Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to communicate with the Business and understand Business concepts is key to this position
