IT Manager - Core Services

Location: Meridian, ID (In-office position)

We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and results-driven IT Manager to lead our IT Core Services Support Teams. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, a deep understanding of change management, business acumen, team leadership, and solid working administration experience with Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra, Compliance, Security Portal, as well as networking skills.

Direct Report: Vice President of Information Technology

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the IT Department, ensuring the stability, efficiency and performance of the IT infrastructure, systems and direct reports.
  • Provide team leadership to manage and mentor IT Core Services Support Teams, including Help Desk and System Administration positions.
  • Ensure the security, compliance, and performance of all IT systems and services.
  • Collaborate with other department leaders to understand and assess their IT needs and provide solutions.
  • Develop GRC - Governance, Risk, Compliance procedures, SOP and documentation to align with NIST, CIS and ITIL standards.
  • Oversee Microsoft Copilot AI implementation, management, and training, as well as additional AI tools.
  • Lead/co-lead projects related to migration, implementation, and optimization of Microsoft 365 cloud services, Netsuite, Salesforce, UKG and more.
  • Manage and maintain assets, documentation, security posture and provide regular reports to the VP of IT on the performance and status of IT systems.
  • Ensure robust, scalable, and efficient networking solutions to support business operations.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the VP of IT on technology, security, and innovations.
  • Close collaboration and partnership with the IT Manager - Customer Facing Technologies - to ensure transparency with teams.
  • Perform SWOT analysis to identify vulnerabilities and boost productivity, efficiency, and accuracy to inform business decisions.
  • Continuously analyze current processes, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of improvement.
  • Prepare cost-benefit analysis reports when upgrades are necessary.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the IT Team and define metrics.
  • Assess, define or reassign roles and responsibilities within Core Services team as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Information Systems (CIS), or a similar field
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Management leading teams and 10+ years overall progressive hands-on IT administration experience
  • Expertise in researching, evaluating, and implementing solutions that may impact a large audience
  • Proven experience in IT management and team leadership.
  • Strong understanding of change management principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid working administration experience with Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra, Compliance, Security Portal, Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Networking skills and experience in managing IT infrastructure.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other department leaders.
  • Experience in overseeing AI tools and technologies.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to perform SWOT analysis.
  • Ability to prepare cost-benefit analysis reports.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% annually.
Physical and Sensory Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computers, keyboards, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 30 pounds (e.g., laptops, monitors, servers).
  • Occasional bending, stooping, or reaching to access hardware in server rooms or under desks.
  • Visual acuity to read technical documents, monitor screens, and detect issues on hardware.
  • Auditory ability to communicate effectively via phone, video calls, and in-person meetings.
  • Mobility within the office environment, including walking to different departments or locations.
  • Ability to remain focused and alert in a dynamic environment with potential interruptions or shifting priorities.
