Job Description
The IT Manager is responsible for the information technology and systems required to support the organization, including day-to-day execution. This role must be able to recognize the difference between strategy and execution and know when each is appropriate. As a member of the leadership team, the IT Manager contributes to overall business strategies and results while ensuring the company's IT infrastructure remains secure, compliant, and efficient.
Responsibilities: - Infrastructure
- Lead small- and large-scale technology projects, including installation, upgrade, and maintenance.
- Manage technology assets, including inventory of hardware, software, and equipment.
- Maintain and optimize applications, including ERP and CAD systems.
- Cyber Security
- Ensure information systems comply with ITAR, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, and CMMC Level 2 controls.
- Review and develop system security plans (SSPs) and plans of action and milestones (POA&Ms).
- Develop new and mature existing information security policies and procedures.
- Verify and document the implementation of security controls necessary to achieve compliance.
- Initiate and lead ongoing information security maturity assessments and training.
- Data Storage & Use
- Design systems to collect, automate, and store data in a manner that is organized and accessible.
- Assist others in performing data-related tasks. Facilitate business intelligence actions and insights.
- Plans, develops, tests, and maintains a business continuity plan for all information systems.
- Strategic Planning
- Participate in strategic planning sessions with other leadership team members.
- Create and achieve goals and objectives that align with company strategy.
- Take an analytical and metrics-driven approach to create compelling narratives for solutions.
- Project manage major initiatives. Define the sequence and timeline of milestones.
- Participate in creating annual budgets and manage expenditures to operate within budgeted targets.
- Analyze complex business needs to recommend technology solutions.
Qualifications: Qualifications
Experience & Education: - At least 3 years of IT management experience is required; 5+ years, especially in a manufacturing environment, is a big plus.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as ITAR, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, and NIST CSF is required. Hands-on experience with CMMC Level 2 compliance is highly desirable.
- Strong background in technical support, with experience providing daily IT assistance. Experience managing an IT ticketing system is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft technologies, including Office Suite and Exchange (on-prem), is required. Experience with MS SQL, SharePoint, Intune, and Purview is preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and virtualization platforms (ESXi, Hyper-V), along with experience managing server technologies (Server ), is required. Hands-on experience with Azure administration is preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Radius, WSUS, and Entra is a plus.
- Networking expertise, including VLANs, subnetting, routing, VPNs, MFA, and DHCP, is required. Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, and Aruba is preferred.
- Experience with PowerShell, Python, and deployment automation is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage IT budgeting, vendor negotiations, and contract optimization is highly preferred.
