Kodiak is seeking an Sr. IT Manager, Infrastructure and Enterprise Platformswho will focus on infrastructure related tasks and issues across all company systems and information assets. This role will work closely with Kodiak IT Services staff along with our companies to triage, provide technical assistance, and deliver project related tasks to enable the business through consumption of infrastructure and enterprise platform services.

Sr. Manager, Infrastructure and Enterprise Platforms

Overview

As the Sr. Manager of IT Infrastructure and Enterprise Platforms, you will lead teams responsible for ensuring the alignment of IT strategies, cloud services including Microsoft Azure, O365, and on-prem infrastructure are aligned with Kodiak's overall business goals. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's technology and business roadmaps, priorities and implementation plans. Your strategic vision and technical expertise will drive innovation, scalability, and operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, including enterprise applications, cybersecurity, PMO, and operations, to align technology initiatives with business goals.

As the leader of Infrastructure and Enterprise Platforms, you will actively partner with executive IT and business leaders to enable and drive continued growth and innovation through disciplined mergers and acquisition integrations, process optimization and business value streams. You will be responsible for the identification, development and communication of key metrics (KPIs) that improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness and drive the perceived and real value to our partner organizations.

This is a cross-functional IT/business enablement role with responsibilities and accountability supporting all layers and functions within the organization.

This role reports directly to the VP of IT and Cybersecurity.

Teams reporting to the role include:
  • Infrastructure Operations
  • Enterprise Platforms with an emphasis on M365 and SharePoint
Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership
  • Leverage expertise in emerging technologies, organizational change management, and best practices to deliver innovative, practical solutions that maximize ROI and enable future growth
  • Act as a trusted advisor for disruptive technology innovations including AI/ML/LLM to provide authoritative guidance to executive leadership and investors.
  • Communicate IT strategies to executives, investors, board members, and other stakeholders as appropriate
  • Align IT with business goals, ensuring that technology initiatives support and advance the company's overall strategic objectives
  • Develop and communicate a clear technology vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for IT infrastructure, architecture and governance
  • Collaborate with executives to align technology initiatives with overall business objectives
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and trends, making informed recommendations for adoption
  • Conceptualize and implement effective IT operational governance (NIST CSFv2)
  • Partner with executive leadership to provide guidance, support and expertise to drive growth through pre- and post-merger and acquisition processes, integrations and operational efficiencies
Infrastructure Design and Implementation
  • Oversee the design, deployment, and management of scalable and reliable infrastructure components, including servers, storage, platforms, and cloud services
  • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity across all systems
  • Drive automation and orchestration efforts to streamline operations
Architecture Excellence
  • Define and maintain architectural standards, principles, and best practices
  • Lead architectural reviews, ensuring adherence to design patterns, security guidelines, and scalability requirements
  • Foster innovation by exploring new architectural paradigms and evaluating their applicability
  • Develop and implement effective change management to guide the organization through technological transformations
Team Leadership
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of architects, engineers, and technology specialists
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment
  • Mentor and develop team members to drive organizational growth, develop effective succession planning and improve employee satisfaction/retention
Security and Compliance
  • Collaborate with Business and IT leadership to implement robust security best practices
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST) and regulatory requirements
  • Develop robust security frameworks and standards for emerging technologies (cloud, edge compute, IoT, 5G and AI/LLM)
  • Oversee identity and access management modernization
Budgeting and Cost Optimization
  • Develop and manage the IT infrastructure budget
  • Optimize costs while maintaining service quality and performance
  • Manage IT budgets and drive cost optimization initiatives
Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management or related field (Master's or MBA preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in IT infrastructure and architecture
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale infrastructure projects
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in cloud technologies (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
  • Strong understanding of network architecture, virtualization, and storage solutions
  • Experience deploying, maintaining, and training on the use of enterprise platforms (M365, IAM, etc.)
Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic thinking and ability to balance short-term needs with long-term goals
  • Leadership presence and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
