The IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's IT systems, IT staff, infrastructure, applications, and providing IT support and administration. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to driving efficiency and effectiveness in our IT operations.

This position assists staff with technical support of computers, applications, and related technology. Support includes all aspects of planning to execution of project and break fix issues as they arrive. Activities require interaction and understanding of software support and operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems. The position utilizes one-on-one consultancy to staff. The employee in this position also assists in the maintenance and testing of network servers and associated equipment. The position's responsibilities require independent analyses, communication, and problem solving. Work is performed with little supervision and requires initiative and judgment.

Essential Functions:
  • IT Systems Management
    1. Develop and implement an IT systems strategy that aligns with the company's overall business goals and objectives.
    2. Manage the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and related hardware and software components.
    3. Ensure the availability, security, and integrity of corporate IT systems by implementing industry best practices and proactive maintenance.
  • Application Management:
    1. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of critical business applications, including ERP, CRM, HRIS, Microsoft Exchange and other enterprise-level software.
    2. Familiarity with SAGE CRE 300, Appfolio or similar programs is desired.
    3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify software needs, evaluate potential solutions, and lead the deployment and integration processes.
  • IT Support
    1. Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network issues promptly and effectively.
    2. Ensure timely resolution of user-reported problems and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
    3. Develop and maintain IT support policies, procedures, and knowledge base resources.
  • Mobile Device Support and Management
    1. Maintain all mobile devices, cellular phones and tablets
    2. Store and issue new cell phones and tablets as needed
    3. Assist employees with syncing smart-phones with Outlook, ADP, Sage, Appfolio as well as other apps.
  • Internal Phone System
  1. Oversee and administer Mitel phone system
  2. Troubleshoot phone related issues.
  3. Keep account information updated and distributed to the company.
  • IT Security
    1. Conduct regular security assessments and risk analysis to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
    2. Develop security strategies to ensure safe use and security to the company.
    3. Educate end users of security concerns and possible vulnerabilities.
  • Budget and Vendor Management
    1. Collaborate with the IT leadership to create and manage the IT department budget effectively.
    2. Evaluate and select vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with technology partners.
    3. Manage IT purchases for the company including stock of necessary equipment and peripherals to support the company.
  • Technology Advancements
    1. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to IT systems management.
    2. Identify opportunities for technological advancements and efficiencies within the organization.
  • IT Documentation
    1. Develop and maintain documentation for IT systems, procedures, and troubleshooting processes.
    2. Ensure that all IT documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant teams.
    3. Maintain a database of all IT assets and hardware
    4. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management.
  • IT Training
    1. Ability to train and mentor IT support technicians.
    2. Broad understanding of troubleshooting with the ability to find resolutions to software issues which require end user education and training.
Mental and Physical Demands:
  • Experiences frequent interruptions; required to meet inflexible deadlines; requires concentration and attention to detail; requires a high level of organizational and prioritization skills; may occasionally deal with distraught or difficult individuals.
  • Requires ability to maintain absolute confidentiality of information received.
  • Required to sit for prolonged periods; exposed to visual display terminal for prolonged periods; dexterity and precision required in the operation of a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the supervision of one IT Support position in the department.

Core Competencies/Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, BIS, or a related field desired.
  • Proven experience 3+ years in IT systems management and infrastructure in a business environment
  • Strong understanding of enterprise-level applications and their integration.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT security best practices and protocols.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively. Demonstrated skill in correct grammar, spelling and English usage.
  • Ability to organize information and set priorities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills; strong customer service orientation: Ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals.
  • Strong problem solving skills. Ability to analyze information management problems and recommend improved procedures, methods or programs.
