Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic IT Manager to oversee and enhance our plant Information Technology operations within the automotive industry. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of all IT systems, infrastructure, and support services. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who is able to manage day-to-day IT operations while also aligning technology initiatives with the company's long-term goals.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and monitor IT policies and procedures related to user account creation, password management, data backup and restoration, system permissions, patch management, and connectivity standards.
• Ensure compliance with IAC Corporate Computing policies and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and maintain Windows-based systems, server infrastructure, and hardware across regional operations.
• Oversee backup and disaster recovery protocols to ensure business continuity.
• Coordinate telecommunications systems and connectivity across departments.
• Maintain and optimize electronic interfaces and integrations between corporate and external systems.
• Administer and support key business applications, including Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and store-specific software.
• Ensure functionality, compatibility, and user satisfaction of applications through ongoing updates and enhancements.
• Lead regional Help Desk operations, ensuring timely and effective resolution of IT issues.
• Monitor and manage the corporate call center systems, ensuring uptime, responsiveness, and adherence to service level metrics.
• Respond to internal client needs with professionalism and efficiency, fostering positive relationships.
• Track and analyze service desk incidents to identify recurring issues, trends, and opportunities for improvement in systems, documentation, and procedures.
• Coordinate special IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and timely completion.
• Manage external vendors and service providers, particularly those involved in hardware and software support services.
• Establish and monitor KPIs and performance metrics to measure vendor effectiveness and internal support operations.
• Supervise and coordinate efforts across various technical support tiers to maintain consistency and performance.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to IT support staff to promote professional development and teamwork.
• Prepare and deliver regular status reports on IT operations, incidents, and initiatives to senior leadership.
• Monitor inbound requests to identify emerging crises
• Coordinate the efforts of support agents within various support tiers
• Manage vendors who provide Support Services related to hardware and software
• Establish and monitor Support Services performance metrics
• Have a working knowledge of POS and Store oriented applications and hardware
• Review and analyze support desk incidents and report on opportunities for improvement in applications, hardware, documentation and procedures
• Submit regular status reports
• Other duties assigned as needed
Education:
• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required.
Experience:
• Minimum requirement of 5+ years of progressive experience in IT management or a similar role.
• Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
Skills:
• Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, hardware infrastructure, telecommunications, and disaster recovery protocols.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise applications, POS systems, and store-level technology operations.
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills with a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Able to work independently under general supervision, with good judgment in prioritizing tasks and decisions.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical issues for non-technical stakeholders.
Physical Demands:
• Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environment.
• Frequent use of computers and standard office equipment.
• Lifting and transport of IT equipment such as monitors, laptops, and servers.
