Aegis Sortation is a rapidly growing company with a swiftly changing IT environment. We use a 3rd party managed IT services provider which includes a virtual CIO and cloud first architecture to ensure our IT systems effectively scale with our growth. We are currently looking for a driven / strategic IT Leader with that can partner with our 3rd party provider to ensure our IT systems stay one step ahead of our growth needs.

Job Description:

The IT Leader will be responsible for overseeing the information technology strategy and implementation for our organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of current technological trends and the ability to align IT initiatives with business objectives.

The IT Leader will lead all IT related initiatives, manage 3rd party IT relationships, manage the IT budget, drive companywide dashboard / KPI reporting, manage a business analyst, and ensure the security and efficiency of our technology systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives. Create the IT solution architecture / roadmap that will support anticipated company growth.
  • Dashboard / KPI Development: Lead the development of companywide dashboards, KPIs, and reports to support business objectives.
  • Business Case Evaluation: Assess and evaluate business cases for IT investments. Determine the potential return on investment (ROI) and strategic value of proposed IT expenditures. Collaborate with financial and operational teams to ensure alignment with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning and execution of IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Coordinate with 3rd party vendors and internal departments to drive project execution.
  • Change Management: Lead and manage the implementation of change initiatives across the entire organization to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new technologies, processes, and strategies. This includes developing and executing comprehensive change management plans, effectively communicating with stakeholders at all levels, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The IT leader will be responsible for identifying potential resistance to change, addressing concerns, and ensuring that all departments are aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Additionally, they will monitor the progress of change initiatives, provide regular updates to senior leadership, and make necessary adjustments to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT department's budget. Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure the company's IT systems are secure and comply with relevant regulations and standards. Implement and maintain data protection and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers. Negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements are met. Manage outsource agreement with 3rd party IT provider.
  • Policy and Process Management: Develop and implement IT policies and procedures that support business processes and ensure consistency in IT operations. Establish guidelines for technology usage, data management, and system access. Regularly review and update policies to comply with evolving business needs and industry standards.
  • User Support: Ensure IT provides effective support to end-users. Address and resolve technical issues promptly. Manage licensing needs for a growing company.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in management / business information systems.
  • Experience: Proven track record as an IT leader or similar IT management role. Proven experience in leading IT projects and teams.
  • Industry Experience: 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing B2B environment.
  • Key System Knowledge:
  • Knowledgeable in MS applications including O365, Windows 11, Power Platform, Dynamics Business Central, PowerShell, Azure a plus.
  • Ability to use the MS Power Platform to build basic forms, workflows, and Power BI dashboards.
  • Knowledge of Engineering tools (Autodesk, SolidWorks)

  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and software applications. Familiarity with cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data management.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and team management skills. Ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Project Management: Experience with project management methodologies and tools. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Budget Management: Experience in developing and managing budgets. Strong financial acumen.
