About the role:

We are seeking a driven and experienced IT Lead - US to take ownership of IT operations across our US Business Units. In this role, you'll manage both an internal team and third-party providers to ensure effective IT service delivery, lead and support local and global IT projects, and partner closely with Business Units to meet evolving technology needs.

As the key point of contact for all IT-related activity in the US, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the availability, efficiency, and security of systems, while also aligning IT support with Argenta's broader strategic goals. The role offers a rare opportunity to combine hands-on support, people leadership, project delivery, and vendor management in a globally connected organisation.

About you:

You are a confident and collaborative IT professional with experience delivering IT services and managing support teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. With a solid foundation in IT service management and project delivery methodologies, you're well-prepared to lead local teams, manage external partners, and contribute to global IT initiatives.

You bring excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, technical understanding, and a passion for leveraging technology to improve systems and solve real business challenges. Naturally proactive and solutions-oriented, you're someone who thrives in roles that offer variety, ownership, and the opportunity to influence change. You balance the ability to think strategically with a hands-on approach to ensure operational excellence.

Your background, experience, and attributes will include:
  • A relevant degree qualification in an IT discipline
  • Service management certification (ITIL or similar) - completed or in progress
  • Project management certification (Prince2, Agile or equivalent) - completed or in progress
  • Experience in a Support Engineer or Analyst role, ideally within a Managed Service Provider or in-house IT support environment, with 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience
  • Proven ability to manage internal teams and third-party vendors to deliver high-quality IT services
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and application support
  • Familiarity with data and information security policies, GxP compliance, and governance practices
  • Effective time management, accountability, and decision-making under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and collaborate across business functions
  • A logical thinker with a continuous improvement mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Willingness to support broader IT functions as needed and a commitment to being a lifelong learner
