IT Installation Project Manager with Security Clearance

ReliaSource is seeking an experienced IT Installation Project Manager to oversee all aspects of hardware installation projects, from pre-sales through project closeout. This role requires a proactive approach to anticipate challenges, maintain meticulous documentation, and coordinate effectively across teams, stakeholders, and customers. The Project Manager will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the satisfaction of all parties involved. Key Responsibilities: a. Experience and Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
5-8 years' experience managing IT installations, deployment, or infrastructure projects.
Networking experience/knowledge preferred.
Certifications such as PMP or ITIL are preferred. b. Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of computer hardware, peripherals, and network devices.
Familiarity with installation procedures, cabling, and troubleshooting. c. Project Management Skills: Manage hardware installation projects from initiation to completion.
Develop detailed project plans, allocate resources, and ensure deadlines are met.
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. d. Vendor Coordination: Work with hardware vendors to ensure timely delivery and adherence to specifications. e. Site Assessment and Planning: Conduct site surveys to assess installation needs and recommend optimal hardware placement. f. Quality Assurance: Verify that installations meet quality standards and perform post-installation testing. g. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate installation records and prepare reports on project progress and completion. h. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and create contingency plans to minimize project delays. i. Team Leadership: Supervise installation technicians and ensure compliance with safety protocols. j. Security Awareness: Implement security best practices during hardware installation and data protection. k. Customer Service Orientation: Communicate effectively with end-users, addressing concerns promptly. Required Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in IT hardware installation project management.
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and hardware components.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Preferred Skills: Experience in managing large-scale IT deployments.
Familiarity with software and hardware integration in a business environment. Work Environment: Role requires both office and on-site presence; occasional travel may be needed.
