Position Summary: The IT department is seeking a well-rounded and experienced IT professional to support technology initiatives related to Police and Physical Security systems. This is a hands-on, technical role requiring expertise in administering workstations, servers, networks, and specialized security applications. The selected consultant will work closely with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with IT and cybersecurity standards.
Key Responsibilities: -
Ensure compliance of Police and Physical Security systems with IT, Cybersecurity, and Physical Security standards and policies

Provide hands-on support for workstations, networks, and servers (including rack/stack, configuration, and monitoring)

Troubleshoot technical issues across infrastructure layers: server, desktop, network, and cybersecurity

Support installation, configuration, and administration of enterprise systems, especially with granular security settings and group policies

Coordinate between vendors, business units, Cybersecurity, and IT teams

Conduct system assessments, assist in risk identification and mitigation planning

Travel to sites across the region for onsite support and inspections
Required Qualifications: -
7-9 years of professional experience in Information Technology

3-5 years in a System Administrator or Systems Engineer role

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field

Strong troubleshooting skills in networking, system performance, and cybersecurity

Experience implementing network configurations, firewall rules, and enterprise security software

Proficient in system administration of enterprise applications with a focus on access control and permissions
