IT Infrastructure Engineer

Acadiana Management Group, LLC dba AMG- IntegratedHealthcare Management (AMG), an employee-owned company, is hiring afull-time IT Infrastructure Engineer. The Infrastructure Engineer is responsiblefor the implementation, monitoring, and support of all enterprise IT infrastructureincluding servers, storage, networks, virtualization platforms, cloud services,and backup/recovery operations. This role ensures AMG's infrastructure issecure, resilient, scalable, and high-performing, while meeting or exceedingservice level objectives. This position is located in Lafayette, LA and isnot a remote position.

Duties:

• Infrastructure Engineering & Operations

o Design, deploy, and maintain coreinfrastructure including physical and virtual servers, storage arrays, andnetworking components

o Lead initiatives to improve automation,standardization, and system efficiency

o Monitor real-time system performance andproactively prevent disruptions and degradation

• System Administration & Monitoring

o Administer and optimize Microsoft ActiveDirectory, Office 365, Windows Server OS, and other core services

o Ensure patching and update management acrossservers and endpoints

o Maintain accurate documentation andinventory

• Cloud & Virtualization Management

o Implement and manage cloud services (Azure,AWS) and hybrid cloud integrations

o Maintain and optimize VMware andvirtualization environments

• Backup, Disaster Recovery & Security

o Manage and validate enterprise backup anddisaster recovery solutions

o Enforce security best practices for systems,storage, and networks

• Service Continuity & Incident Management

o Act as final escalation point for criticalinfrastructure incidents

o Drive root cause analysis and long-termresolution of recurring problems

• Change & Configuration Management

o Coordinate and implement infrastructurechanges with minimal impact

o Implement and maintain compliance withchange control processes

• Project Participation

o Collaborate on infrastructure-relatedprojects and technology rollouts

o Recommend enhancements based on emergingtechnologies and business needs

• Technical Support & Documentation

o Provide Tier 3 support for escalatedtechnical issues

o Contribute to the internal knowledge baseand maintain system documentation

• Professional Development

o Stay current with industry trends andtechnologies through self-learning and formal training

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, Informatics, orrelated field

• Five or more years' experience in a systemsadministration or engineering position

• Proven experience with enterpriseinfrastructure design, deployment, and troubleshooting

• Project management experience preferred

Skills/Qualifications:

• Expert-level knowledge of server, storage,and virtualization platforms (Dell and VMware preferred)

• Strong working knowledge of Windowsoperating systems (10+, Server 2016+) and Active Directory

• Strong understanding of networking andsecurity technologies (Cisco & Meraki preferred)

• Scripting and automation experience(PowerShell, etc.)

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite andcloud-based identity services (Entra ID, Exchange Online)

• Working knowledge of public cloud platforms(Azure, AWS)

• Working knowledge of telephony protocols andphone systems (SIP, Cisco Call Manager, etc.)

• Familiarity with ITIL practices and ITSMtools

• Excellent analytical and troubleshootingskills

• Strong verbal/written communication anddocumentation abilities

• Detail-oriented with exceptionalorganizational skills
