POSITION SUMMARY:

The IT Infrastructure and Security Manager is responsible for providing reliable, high-quality IT services, ensuring alignment with business needs. Reporting directly to the SVP of Technology, this role leads the IT Infrastructure team in delivering and supporting a secure, cost-effective, and efficient IT environment. The manager oversees critical IT functions, including cybersecurity, cloud and system engineering, enterprise IT architecture, help desk support, and system administration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Manage the daily operations and project tasks within the IT Infrastructure team.
  • Recruit, train, and lead IT infrastructure staff, setting clear job expectations and monitoring performance.
  • Oversee the annual IT Infrastructure and Security budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor daily IT operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Coordinate technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance to ensure system reliability.
  • Select and procure new and replacement hardware and software when necessary.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and modify information systems to optimize performance.
  • Generate performance reports for operating systems and the Service Desk function.
  • Ensure IT activities comply with applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Evaluate technology risks and develop disaster recovery and backup procedures.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in technology and industry best practices.
  • Provide deep technical and strategic insight into IT services and operations.
  • Solve complex, diverse problems by re-evaluating new and conflicting factors.
  • Act as the primary escalation contact for business-critical IT issues.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and service providers.

SECURITY AND COMPLIANCE:
  • Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
  • Oversee cybersecurity operations, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection.
  • Monitor security threats, respond to incidents, and ensure timely remediation.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 27001, CIS, NIST, GDPR, HIPPA).
  • Conduct security audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability management.
HELP DESK & USER SUPPORT:
  • Lead IT support teams in providing timely and effective resolutions to technical issues.
  • Implement IT service management (ITSM) best practices to enhance support efficiency.
  • Facilitate end-user training and awareness for IT security and productivity tools.
CLOUD & SYSTEM ENGINEERING:
  • Oversee cloud migration strategies, security, and hybrid infrastructure management.
  • Manage virtualization technologies and storage solutions for IT optimization.
  • Ensure disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plans are in place and tested regularly.
Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience leading IT operations management teams.
  • Proven experience delivering technical support services.
  • Proficiency in ITIL processes: Service Performance Management, Critical Issues Management, and Service Level Management.
  • Strong understanding of IT security, compliance, and risk management.
  • Experience with hybrid environments, including on-premises and cloud services.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under pressure.
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., Action1, Salesforce, etc.).
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS:
  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
  • CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
  • AWS/Azure Solutions Architect
  • ITIL Certification
  • CompTIA Security+

Salary Description
