Position Goal: Provide technology support and technology project implementation for District network, server and application infrastructure systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide second-level Infrastructure support for district server, network, and infrastructure applications
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level network and server technology including Cisco switches and AP's, VMWare or other sever virtualization platforms, Windows Server 2016 and above, and infrastructure management applications (SCCM, Intune and/or JAMF preferred, WSUS or other OS and application patching solutions, efficient automated Windows imaging and application deployment, etc)
  • Help the Infrastructure team analyze cloud, security, AI and other technical trends and provide input for future-state changes to keep our systems current, safe and efficient
  • Ability to analyze and investigate ATP (or other similar security system) alerts to determine severity and alert Supervisor to potential risks with recommendations for mitigation
  • Propose, design, implement and maintain systems which help improve the efficiency of the IT Departments service delivery including technical systems, workflows, and resolution of complex multi-system issues
  • Document work in the ticketing system while maintaining all district SLA's
  • Analyze data and organize information for application and infrastructure projects including cross-referencing and correlation of multiple data sets
  • Occasionally provide direct end-user support and communicate effectively with Administration-level District employees during large-scale implementations or incidents
  • Ability to train end-users for new or changing systems
Specific Skills:
  • Familiar with Windows Server 2016 and above in a virtualized environment (VMWare preferred)
  • Familiar with networking concepts and networking infrastructure (Cisco preferred)
  • Familiar with enterprise systems for maintaining Windows client environments (for example SCCM, InTune, WSUS, Image Deployment, Application Packaging or other 3rd party products that provide similar functions)
  • Experience with MDM systems (JAMF for iOS devices preferred)
  • Ability to read and analyze security threat reporting and take action to mitigate threats (Microsoft or other 3rd party security suites)
  • Familiarity with data center racking and cabling best practices including clear documentation of connections
  • Ability to work flexible hours during occasional nights or weekends for infrastructure maintenance windows or implementations
  • Ability to work and learn our specific systems at a deep technical level while communicating with the Infrastructure team and IT management
  • Excellent Customer-Service skills
  • Able to work in a team environment with cross-training and coordination with other Infrastructure Analysts
Educational Level:

Associate degree or above, or technical certifications, or equivalent experience working with the above technologies. Bachelor's Degree or applicable certifications or experience preferred.

Requirements:
  • Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and participate in the design and implementation of all network, server and infrastructure technologies
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting (Excel, SCCM, etc) preferred
  • Experience with PowerSchool preferred
