GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION Murphy USA is seeking a highly motivated and innovative HR Business Analyst Interns to join our dynamic IT team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced software analysts in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, where you will gain hands-on experience with the latest HR functional areas, technologies, tools, and frameworks. The HR Intern will support the Human Resources department in a variety of functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and administrative tasks. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced IT company, working closely with HR professionals and contributing to daily operations that enhance the employee experience. The intern will assist in maintaining records, coordinating internal events, and supporting communication between IT departments, while learning about HR practices and processes in a tech-driven work environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in the below-mentioned areas to design, plan, and support HR software applications and internal tools that support Murphy USA's HR business processes. Recruitment Support Assist in posting job openings on job boards and company platforms. Screen resumes and schedule interviews with candidates. Maintain and update applicant tracking systems. Onboarding and Offboarding Prepare onboarding materials and welcome kits for new hires. Support orientation sessions and ensure completion of required documentation. Assist with exit formalities and collecting feedback from departing employees. Employee Records and Documentation Organize and maintain employee files and HR records. Ensure documentation complies with internal policies and confidentiality standards. HR Administration Support daily administrative tasks such as preparing reports, forms, and letters. Coordinate internal meetings and events. Update internal databases, spreadsheets, and reports. Employee Engagement Assist in planning and executing team-building activities and wellness programs. Gather feedback from employees for engagement surveys and improvement initiatives. Policy and Compliance Support Help in communicating company policies and procedures. Assist in ensuring compliance with HR processes and relevant labor regulations. Learning and Development Support training sessions and monitor attendance and feedback. Maintain training records and assist in content preparation. Special Projects Contribute to HR projects such as diversity and inclusion initiatives, internal newsletters, or HRIS improvements. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Counseling, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
