Title: IT Help Desk Technician Compensation: Starting at $24/hr Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; occasional overtime Location: Claremont, California The IT Help Desk Technician is a vital part of the team, helping keep the firm's technology running smoothly every day. This hands-on role works closely with the IT Manager and supports staff onsite across the firm, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting with system upgrades, maintaining network security, and making sure attorneys and employees have the tools and tech support they need to stay productive.
What You'll Do: - Install and configure computer hardware, software, printers, scanners, and phones
- Diagnose software, hardware and user errors
- Respond in a timely manner to end user requests by phone and email
- Provide technical support firmwide, in-person, over the phone & remotely regarding both hardware and software issues.
- Set up new user accounts and equipment
- Repair or replace equipment as needed
- Set up hardware and technology (computers, monitors, etc.) at various locations for trial
- Travel may be required between the Claremont and Beverly Hills offices, as well as occasional trips to local courthouses. Mileage will be reimbursed in accordance with California law
What You'll Need to Succeed: - Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field (preferred)
- 2 years of experience in an IT support role
- Experience in a legal or professional services environment is a plus
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals, or similar are a plus
- Working knowledge of Windows 11 operating systems & Mac laptops
- Basic understanding of networking, including LAN/WAN, VPNs, and wireless configurations
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and data protection protocols
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on supporting non-technical users
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to improving IT systems and processes
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable, insured vehicle for work-related travel
