Power-Flo Technologies is adding to our IT Help Desk team which provides technical support to our employees both on-site and remotely. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities.

This position is on-site at our corporate HQ in New Hyde Park, NY.

Full-time. Monday - Friday. 7 AM - 4 PM.

This position requires occasional travel for on-site support at our different branches (NY, NJ, CT).

IT Help Desk Specialist Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to and resolve IT issues via phone, email, and in person
  • Provide application-level support to users on Epicor Eclipse ERP software
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems
  • Debug applications and implement upgrades
  • Assist with equipment setup and software installations
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues
  • Find replacements for aging hardware
  • Provide training to end-users on IT systems and best practices
  • Maintain and update IT documentation and knowledge base
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all access to individual, corporate information, and corporate intellectual property
IT Help Desk Specialist Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of IT help desk experience
  • Degree in IT-related field or equivalent experience
  • High-level knowledge of commonly used software, hardware and applications, preferably Epicor Eclipse
  • Strong oral communication skills to gather information from employees and explain complex technical concepts in simple language
  • Demonstrated written communication skills to create useful support logs
  • Analytica and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and diagnose issues
  • Advanced ability with tools and installation of IT equipment/appliances
  • Time management skills to provide updates and fixes within a promised time frame
  • Multi-tasking skills to assist multiple employees at once
  • Observational skills to recognize warning signs that indicate potential problems
  • Ability to work on-site and travel locally/regionally as needed
  • Valid NYS Driver's License to operate company vehicles
Preferred Qualifications:
  • IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL, Microsoft certifications)
  • Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems
  • Knowledge of basic networking and security concepts
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, computer mouse, adding machine, and telephone for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • This position may require standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and/or reaching
  • You may be exposed to dust, loud noises, and hot and cold conditions as we provide technical support to warehouse and shop areas
Additional Notes:

Must have clean NYS driver's license to operate company vehicles as needed and to travel to other PFT locations as needed.

Salary: $17 - $21 per hour
