Job Title: IT Help Desk Associate

Job Location: Woodbridge, New Jersey

Job Status: Full Time

Job Summary:

Ensure successful resolution of issues involving desktop, hardware and software so that end users can accomplish business tasks. Resolve end user help requests within established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities Includes:
  • Successfully troubleshoot issues for technical assistance, both independently and in collaboration with Senior Help Desk Analyst, using all available technical resources
  • Record, track and document the help desk request process, including incident information, actions taken, through final resolution
  • Provide exceptional customer service while supporting clients throughout headquarters and all branch locations. Support includes, but is not limited to support of laptops, desktops, printers, phone, mobile devices, LAN/WAN and email.
  • Follow and maintain procedures and policies to ensure security and integrity of systems, networks, and resources
  • Support hardware and software installation
  • Maintain security profiles on all users and ensure proper security for file access
  • Alert management to emerging trends in incidents
  • Assist management with reporting, analysis or testing tasks
  • Must meet tight deadlines and be able to work under time restraints
  • Support Remote Deposit capture customers with installation and troubleshooting
  • Responsible for complying with all relevant bank policies and procedures including the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, and government compliance, as well as those associated with consumer compliance laws, rules and regulations, as detailed in all training, educational materials and manuals provided for the position
  • May be required to work flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license
  • Use of personal vehicle may be necessary to transport equipment to and from multiple bank locations
Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or completed coursework towards BS degree preferred
  • CompTIA A+ certification preferred
  • MCP - Microsoft Certified Professional certification preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange Server and XP and Windows Install/Admin (1+ years required)
  • Hands-on experience with desktop and server operating systems (1+ years required)
  • Experience in hardware, software and network troubleshooting, installation, modification, maintenance and repair (1+ years required)
  • Working knowledge of major networking components, printer administration and computer hardware components (1+ years required)
  • Ability to lift and transfer up to 50 lbs. required
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid customer service and communication skills
  • Bank operations knowledge preferred
