Salary: $85,000 - $130,000 per year

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team in the Utility industry. This role is perfect for those who are passionate about financial analysis, IT, and science. The successful candidate will be responsible for the financial governance of our IT department, including budgeting and forecasting. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of advancing scientific knowledge and innovation.
There are 2 openings-ideally someone with 1 year of experience in IT financial management and someone at a more mid to Senior level. Compensation is DOE but there are also incredible bonuses, and overall benefits

Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the financial governance of the IT department, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
2. Develop, manage, and monitor the IT budget, providing regular reports to senior management on budget performance.
3. Conduct financial forecasting for IT projects, including cost estimates, return on investment analysis, and risk assessment.
4. Collaborate with IT project managers to develop project budgets, track expenses, and ensure projects are delivered within budget.
5. Provide financial advice and guidance to IT management, helping to make informed decisions about IT investments and initiatives.
6. Conduct regular financial analysis of IT operations, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
7. Participate in the financial planning and strategy development of the IT department.
8. Liaise with other departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment between IT financial management and broader company objectives.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (such as CFA, CPA) would be an advantage.
2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in financial analysis or financial management, preferably in an IT environment.
3. Proven experience in financial governance, budgeting, and forecasting.
4. Strong understanding of IT operations and costs, and the ability to translate this understanding into effective financial management.
5. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide clear and actionable insights.
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial audiences.
7. Proficiency in financial software and IT systems.
8. Knowledge of the scientific industry would be an advantage.
9. High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical financial management.
10. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound financial decisions.
