Harper Brothers Construction is seeking a hands-on IT Director to oversee and implement all information technology systems and equipment to support the Company.
Primary duties and responsibilities: (essential to this position)
- Manages and/or advises the evaluation, implementation, and support activity for IT systems including, but not limited to: local and wide area networks, telecommunications systems, software, hardware, and related equipment.
- Determines and evaluates the current and future technology, communications, and information needs.
- Acquires equipment, software systems, and computer supplies to support the company's business activities.
- Analyzes and controls all costs associated with the company's technology, communications, information systems and core system.
- Negotiates contracts for all technology, communications, and information systems, services, and equipment purchases.
- Serves on the Senior Management team as a partner in strategic planning, project development, and implementation of those plans and projects.
- Back up for Information Technology Security Officer.
- Ensure compliance of Policy and Procedures.
- Responsible for interviewing/screening potential new employees for areas of responsibility as related to Information Technology.
- Leader of the company's core processor problem resolutions.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Be knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities.
- Responsible for complying with applicable regulations.
- Create and implement a technology Disaster Recovery Plan.
Supervisory Functions:
Abilities to oversee and manage a team including Onsite Help Desk Technicians
Education Level: (minimum)
BA/BS Degree - Computer Sciences, Information Technology or Business
8-10 years in progressive roles with 3+ years of Supervisory experience
Particular areas of experience desired:
- Viewpoint and B2W experience
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Project Management skills.
- Familiarity with Directory Services and network user administration.
- Knowledge of various software packages.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ideal candidate will have previous experience in a construction and/or engineering company.
