IT/DEVOPS ENGINEER


The IT/DevOps Engineer will be responsible for making sure our software platform is exceptionally robust and well-maintained. They will work with customers and internal teams to develop and support software build pipelines, as well as providing a means for well-tested and efficient software product deployment and delivery with an emphasis on automation, repeatability and scalability. They should have strong communication and team building skills and embrace modern development processes and techniques that improve quality and productivity.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Automating software builds and releases
  • Maintaining build tooling, associated documentation, and scripts
  • Integrating software products across multiple teams
  • Continuously improve software engineering practices
  • Work with agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies
  • Provision cloud infrastructure for building software, with the goal of minimizing developer downtime
  • Build highly available tools such as CI/CD pipelines and related integrations
  • Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions
  • Encourage innovation, implement cutting-edge technologies and embrace change in a startup environment

Qualifications:


  • 5+ years industry experience in DevOps
  • 3+ years developing and deploying software in cloud environments (AWS & Azure)
  • 2+ years experience with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, etc.)
  • 1+ years experience building software with CMake
  • 3+ years experience developing in C/C
  • 2+ years experience using VCS software (Git, SVN, etc.)
  • 2+ years experience operating CI/CD software deployments/releases
  • Knowledge of cross-platform software development, integration, and testing
  • Experience with MS Azure DevOps best practices

Recommended Skills:


  • System level hardware and software experience
  • Experience shipping robust and well-documented products
  • Experience with Python and CI/CD services surrounding Python software
  • Sharing, coaching and training with regards to best practices in QA
  • Knowledge of standard practices in supporting large-scale C/C codebases
  • Integrating large-scale codebases, like Boost or abseil, into existing software
  • Experience with consuming and producing vcpkg packages
  • Interest in computer graphics and the future of media and entertainment

Education Requirements:


BS / MS majoring in Computer Engineering or Computer Science and minimum 5+ years relevant experience. Requires extensive knowledge of the software development lifecycle and tooling typically obtained through a combination of industry experience and higher education. May have practical knowledge of cloud infrastructure deployment and a history of successful product deliveries.
