Duties - You will provide program management for the Military Sealift Command (MSC) Cybersecurity program to ensure enterprise-wide compliance and implementation of cybersecurity requirements.
- You will interpret, create, disseminate, and enforce cybersecurity policy for MSC Headquarters and subordinate commands.
- You will provide oversight of the network boundary protection for MSC sites and systems by ensuring the configuration, installation, and maintenance of IA systems.
- You will provide oversight of the Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) process for MSC Headquarters and subordinate commands.
- You will achieve and maintain accreditations for all MSC sites and systems and ensure the sites and systems are operating within an acceptable level of risk.
- You will manage the independent verification and validation of compliance assessments.
- You will provide oversight of and track MSC's cybersecurity workforce.
- You will provide direct support to program management, service execution, and mission support as needed to highlight how decisions may impact the security of cyber and communication infrastructures.
- You will provide direct support to MSC vessels for all cybersecurity issues.
- You will implement and manage the Information Security Systems Management Program for MSC Headquarters and subordinate commands.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 722, proficiency level Intermediate the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience applying IT security principles and methods and IT security products and services sufficient to evaluate, recommend the acquisition of, implement, and disseminate IT security tools, procedures, and practices to protect information assets.
- Experience managing, maintaining, troubleshooting, installing, operating, and configuring basic network infrastructure.
- Experience utilizing system security, network infrastructure, access control, assessments and audits, cryptography, and organization security.
- Experience planning, coordinating, and implementing security measures for information systems to regulate access to computer data files and prevent unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure of information.
- Experience managing incidents, understanding common attach techniques and tools, and defending against and/or responding to such attacks when they occur.
- Experience monitoring, detecting, and reporting threats of network intrusion and unauthorized access and how to manage current threats to systems and networks along with effective countermeasures.
- Experience ensuring compliance with appropriate procedures such as physical access controls, security measures, classification, and safeguarding on controlled information rules.
-AND- Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
