Purpose of Position
The IT coordinator is responsible for supporting the organization's technology infrastructure, ensuring functionality and compliance with IT operations, and providing technical assistance to administrative and program staff. This role involves maintaining IT assets, providing technical support to staff, implementing cybersecurity measures, and supporting digital initiatives that enhance organizational impact.
Qualifications
Education/Experience Associate degree in a computer science related field is preferred. A minimum of three years' experience with technical support or help desk support.
Specialized Skills/Training
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows.
- Have an advanced understanding of IT systems and networks.
- Ability to troubleshoot and utilize problem solving skills.
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Organizational skills to maintain multiple inventories.
Principal Accountabilities
Technical Support and Troubleshooting
- Provide timely support to staff requiring assistance.
- Troubleshoot technological issues for administrative and program staff
- Assist with troubleshooting internal software and applications.
- Troubleshoot outages and facility issues with Service Providers related to telephone, cable, and internet.
- Basic repair and installation of equipment and data cabling.
System Monitoring & Maintenance
- Maintain Office365 applications including but not limited to Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and Power Automate.
- Maintain the organization's email accounts and licenses.
- Monitor and update organization's website(s).
- Maintain facility Service Provider accounts.
IT Training & Support
- Attend advanced computer classes whenever necessary to stay current with the latest technological advancements.
- Provide necessary training and support for staff at all locations.
- Be knowledgeable in assistive technologies and up to date with remote support implementation practices.
- Stay current with Microsoft trends and updates.
Assistive Technology
- Explore new technologies and vendors to keep the organization evolving and competitive.
- Assist with installation of assistive technologies for the organization's persons served.
- Train staff on use of persons served assistive technologies.
Project Coordination
- Be primary point of contact for help desk support for Managed Service Provider.
- Be involved with new systems implementation and the conversions of new programs.
- Coordinate and assist with installations technology at all locations.
- Work closely with departments to improve efficiency, communication, and data management across the organization(s).
Resource Management
- Manage organization's mobile account.
- Maintain the organization's technology inventories.
- Manage organization's mobile device management software.
- Ensure all organizational resources are utilized efficiently and effectively.
Purchasing
- Order new computers and stage for employee/facility needs.
- Order printers/office equipment for staff
- Order mobile devices when required.
- Assist with technological purchases for the organization's persons served.
Data Security
- Ensure safeguards of organizational environment with compliant practices.
- Assist in risk assessment inventories and environmental audits .
- Monitor the organization's cybersecurity training software.
- Implement baseline and routine cybersecurity testing.
