JOB PURPOSE
The IT Citrix Engineer will play a critical role tasked with designing, deploying, and managing virtualized application and desktop environments to deliver seamless, secure, and high-performing user experiences across the organization. This position focuses on leveraging Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops to provide scalable, centralized solutions that enable employees to access critical resources from any device, anywhere, while maintaining stringent security and performance standards. The engineer will serve as a subject matter expert, ensuring the virtualization infrastructure meets business demands and adapts to evolving technological needs.
In this role, the Citrix Engineer will take ownership of the end-to-end lifecycle of virtualized environments, from architecture and implementation to optimization and troubleshooting. They will work closely with IT teams to integrate Citrix solutions with existing systems, ensuring compatibility, resilience, and efficiency. By utilizing tools such as Citrix Provisioning Services, Citrix StoreFront, and Citrix Gateway/Netscaler, the engineer will maintain a robust platform that supports remote work, enhances productivity, and protects sensitive data. The position requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a forward-thinking mindset to recommend enhancements, streamline operations, and support the organization's goals.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions:
• Design, deploy, and manage Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments to support business applications and user access.
• Configure and maintain Citrix infrastructure components, including Delivery Controllers, Cloud Connectors, Federated Authentication Services, StoreFront, and Provisioning Services.
• Implement and optimize virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions using Citrix technologies.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of virtualized applications and desktops.
• Manage Citrix Gateway for secure remote access and integrate with multi-factor authentication systems.
• Perform regular updates, patching, and maintenance of Citrix components to ensure security and compliance.
• Collaborate with server, network, and security teams to integrate Citrix solutions with enterprise infrastructure.
• Analyze system logs and performance metrics to proactively address potential issues and improve user experience.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT staff on Citrix-related technologies.
• Document configurations, processes, and procedures to support operational continuity and knowledge sharing.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking, bending, and reaching to shoulder level. Requires occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling weights up to 20 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Equipment Operated: Ability to operate office machines and equipment and troubleshoot problems with equipment.
Work Location: Remote Travel within the USA and Canada may be required, as needed
Education/Training: Associate degree or higher or equivalent qualifications.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 2 years focused on Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
Certificates/Licenses: Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization (CCP-V) certification preferred.
