IT Business Analyst (Oil and Gas Industry Exp)

Qualifications
  • We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Business Analyst to lead the data integrations for an operational and financial forecasting system.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oil and gas planning, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure the successful flow of data between planning tools.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in oil and gas, with a focus on data platforms and integrations
  • Strong understanding of oil and gas operations
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data and information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and effectively
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software tools
  • Experience with SQL/SSIS and/or AWS Redshift/Glue, PowerBI/Tableau data analysis tools and techniques for creating dynamic and interactive dashboards and reports
  • Experience analyzing APIs
  • Ability to work independently with stakeholders to achieve results
Responsibilities
  • Successfully support creation of data pipelines to supply operational and financial forecasting tools
  • Proactively set and manage project team expectations
  • Manage projects within quality, time, and resource constraints
  • Manage task load by prioritizing high-value activities and avoiding unnecessary detail
  • Proactively identify data risks and create successful action plans for mitigating risks and resolving realized issues
  • Create and execute requirement gathering plans, prioritizing and revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and project demands
  • Form strong relationships by leading, coaching, and motivating team members and identifying and resolving blockers or conflicts
  • Lead requirements gathering meetings, dig into unknown datasets to find answers and work with stakeholders to understand expected data needs
