Job Title: IT Audit, Risk and Control Consultant - Banking

Overview:

We're seeking a highly motivated IT Risk and Control Specialist with deep banking experience to join our Global Controls Office (GCO). This role is critical to ensuring policy adherence, robust issue management, and effective risk mitigation across technology-driven business processes. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to validate remediation efforts, test controls, and help strengthen our risk and control environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead issue validation testing, control assessments, and root cause analysis related to IT and business process risks.
  • Evaluate remediation efforts, review key risk metrics, and ensure alignment with risk and compliance standards.
  • Produce detailed documentation of testing procedures, validation outcomes, and control effectiveness for audit readiness.
  • Deliver reports and dashboards highlighting risk trends and remediation progress to senior management.
  • Recommend updates to IT and business unit policies, procedures, and control frameworks.
  • Partner with Risk Management, Technology, and Compliance teams to escalate and resolve material control gaps.
  • Support continuous improvement of issue management and control assurance processes across the enterprise.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in banking or financial services with a focus on IT risk management, internal audit, compliance, or process control.
  • Deep understanding of risk management principles, regulatory compliance, control testing, and issue remediation.
  • Proven experience conducting issue validations and control assessments in a regulated financial environment.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with RSA Archer GRC, ServiceNow GRC, or similar risk management platforms.
  • Technical understanding of IT controls, cybersecurity, cloud operations, data governance, and/or AI-related risk.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., FFIEC, OCC, SOX, GLBA).
