General Summary:

Unum is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an IT Associate. This entry-level opportunity offers a structured 9 to 12-month training program focused on business analysis in an Agile environment. During this time, associates will gain hands-on experience by working closely with seasoned professionals and learning a variety of applications and platforms used across Unum's IT groups.

This role provides a strong foundation for a career in business analysis, with the potential to transition into a Business Analyst I position upon successful completion of the program. This is a Hybrid on-campus requirement in Chattanooga, TN only.

Job Specifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 0 to 2 years of IT-related experience or related education and/or courses.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.
  • Self-motivated with a focus on quality delivery and customer satisfaction.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the analysis, design, construction, testing, and delivery of software-based solutions.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and team members to define user stories to help deliver features and maintain applications.
  • Engage in Agile practices, including daily standups and sprint retrospectives.
  • Embrace learning opportunities and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.

$52,000.00-$101,000.00

Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not.
