IT Applications and Infrastructure Support Analyst
Our client, a bank based in Central London, is looking to recruit a seasoned professional with at least 5 to 10 years of hands-on expertise in 2 nd and 3 rd level support.
- 1st and 2nd Line Troubleshooting / Root Cause Analysis, Documentation write-ups for Knowledge Base Articles
- Support team member supporting all aspects of services and client support, including Workstation Imaging, Hardware Configurations, Software and Hardware Deployment, AD Management, Asset Management, Ticket Queuing (Alloy Navigator), and overall service efficiency.
- Serve as the primary contact for all incoming IT queries, following ITIL best practices to ensure high standards of operation.
- Collaborate with colleagues in London and external/support third parties to resolve complex issues, especially during IT migration and lifecycle projects.
- Maintain up-to-date and relevant IT data to comply with the bank's auditing principles and processes.
- Ensure the Support Team meets SLA targets and operates proactively and proficiently.
Regulatory Duties
- Maintain knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements, including the bank's risk and compliance policies, and adhere to them to mitigate risks.
- Report policy/procedure breaches and potential non-compliance promptly.
- Execute controls within your area to minimize policy, procedure, or regulatory breaches.
- Identify and escalate new risks or control gaps to management and regulatory bodies.
- Training under a Senior IT Engineer / Head of Infrastructure during probation.
- Support and deliver small IT projects during probation.
- Complete mandatory annual regulatory training as per the bank's schedule.
- Proactively pursue technical and behavioral training to enhance role performance.
Technical Experience Required
- Exposure to Market Data, Bloomberg, Trader Support.
- High-level Microsoft Windows experience (all versions), troubleshooting, and resolution skills.
- Active Directory management, including security groups, LDAP, and deployment.
- Citrix XenApps administration, maintenance, and support.
- Windows Server 2012/2016 design, deployment, and support.
- VMware virtualization environments.
- Backup solutions and applications.
- Networking design, troubleshooting, and installation (VLAN, routing, switching, TCP/IP, OSI model).
- Router maintenance, wireless configuration, and setup.
- PowerShell scripting for backup, Azure, EMC.
- VPN administration and deployment.
- DNS management (internal and external).
Salary range: £50K - £65K. The position is hybrid, requiring 3 days in the Central London office. Please send your CV in Word format, including your salary expectations and notice period.
