ISSO with Security Clearance

We are seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in systems security, with a minimum of five years of ISSO experience or equivalent systems security related experience. The ISSO will be responsible for evaluating the adequacy of security plans for upgraded networks, performing vulnerability and risk assessments, and preparing various security reports. Key Responsibilities: Review security documentation to ensure the adequacy of security plans for upgraded networks
Evaluate the effectiveness of security solutions and ensure they meet all security requirements for processing classified information
Perform vulnerability and risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation
Prepare reports such as System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrixes (SR TMs)
Apply knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) using Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) Instruction 1253 and the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-53 security controls
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Must possess a current TS/SCI clearance with appropriate polygraph
Minimum of five years of ISSO experience or equivalent systems security related experience
Knowledge of systems functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational system measures
IAT Level II Certification (or higher) required
Experience with preparing and reviewing security documentation, including SSPs, Risk Assessment Reports, C&A packages, and SR TMs
Understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and relevant security controlsMDOPS Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with classified information and systems
Familiarity with CNSS Instruction 1253 and NIST 800-53 security controls
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
