One of our partner companies is currently looking for an
IS Data Engineer based in
Oregon, Washington, Utah, Idaho, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Montana, or Wisconsin.
As an IS Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in powering data-driven decision-making across the organization. You'll be responsible for building and optimizing robust data pipelines that transform raw data into curated, high-quality datasets for analysts, data scientists, and other business stakeholders. Your work will help automate and streamline the flow of data, ensuring it is both accessible and secure while enabling advanced analytics and machine learning. This is a highly collaborative role that involves working with multiple teams to meet emerging data needs and support business goals through innovative data engineering solutions.
Accountabilities: - Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines from ingestion through integration to consumption
- Optimize workflows and reduce manual processes through automation and orchestration
- Collaborate with business analysts and data teams to define and refine data requirements
- Partner with stakeholders to promote and educate on the use of data and analytics capabilities
- Integrate and manage large-scale datasets from multiple, diverse sources
- Ensure data pipelines adhere to governance, security, and compliance standards
- Apply DevOps and DataOps principles to increase efficiency and reliability of data flows
- Continuously enhance infrastructure to improve data availability, quality, and discoverability
Requirements - Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering, including database design and ETL development
- Proficient in SQL and experienced with RDBMS technologies (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake)
- Familiarity with Azure data tools (e.g. Data Factory, Databricks, Functions, Monitor)
- Solid understanding of data warehousing, data lifecycle, and analytics architectures
- Hands-on experience working with large datasets and multi-source data integration
- Knowledge of business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) and cloud platforms
- Experience in healthcare or managed care data environments is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a drive for continuous learning
