The Manager of IS Applications & Informatics contributes, influences, and drives the organizational vision

through the strategic enterprise full life cycle management of all revenue cycle, ERP, and customer-facing

applications. Evaluates the business needs and associated internal and external customer requirements,

develops, and implements technical solutions accordingly to enable the business and strategic growth

trajectory. Directs and designs the use and usability of systems to collect, aggregate, and report data to

achieve regulatory requirements and efficiency. Responsible for end-user education, adoption, optimization,

and training of applications.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES


• Application Software Architecture and Development

o Design and develop business intelligence and reporting solutions using SQL, T-SQL, SSRS, and

Power BI technologies based on business requirements

o Design and develop artificial intelligence (AI) solutions

o Reviews business context for solutions to company challenges as well as defining the vision

and requirements for the solution, recommending potential options, (which may include

RFIs, RFPs or prototype development), selecting the most optimal option, and the

development of a roadmap for the selected solution

o Manages activities that take place during solution ideation, solution design, and solution

implementation including overall responsibility for the design, development, and success of

the software solution implementation and rollout

o Provides leadership and expertise in streamlining the technology stack, including application

vetting process and rationalization - fostering standardization and utilization whenever

possible

o Responsible for leading financial management activities including solution management

modeling, budgeting, and spend against created capital and operational budgets for all

applications and informatics initiatives including contract negotiations and management

o Provides software development and QA support for solution implementation by directly

coding, developing, and testing solutions. Includes implementing tests, identifying bugs, and

correcting lines of code to ensure the software program works correctly, tracking major

changes and patches

o Tracks and owns each aspect of an application to make sure that correct activities and

output is produced along with the appropriate infrastructure needed to support the

software solution

o Directs the identification and recommendation of appropriate solutions, upgrades,

replacements, or decommissioning options incorporating business and technology

productivity, usability, and total cost of ownership

o Identifies emerging technologies and trends in the network / telecom and electronics

industry, assesses their potential impact on IT applications and information

reporting needs

o Investigates and implements new solutions supporting the use of artificial intelligence,

machine learning, and robotic process automation

o Oversight of end-user training, adoption, and optimization of all applications systems

o Management of application team resources, including both in-house and

third-party resources

o Develops, enhances, and maintains partnership with key internal and external stakeholders

thought the system, including vendor management

o Drive real impact with Data and AI across the company


• Information Reporting and Analysis

o Building datasets, reporting infrastructure, and BI dashboards to support business and

customer reporting requirements

o Optimize and automate reporting solutions to streamline decisions and actions from the

business

o Research tools, solutions, and ideas for future reporting and data management needs

o Creation of Business Intelligence (BI) reports for customers - both internal and external,

managing the team that supports

o Tool ideation and development for predictive forecasting and financial modeling

o Performs personnel administrative functions and establishes and refines goals, performance,

and accountability measures to ensure staff are meeting timelines, working efficiently, and

providing high levels of service delivery


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to support activities spanning multiple business

units: equipment sales, repair sales, field services, and Asset Lifecycle Management programs

• Excellent understanding of design patterns and architectural styles


• Proficient knowledge of the operation and development designs of agile software


• Expertise with content management systems such as SharePoint


• Strong soft skills, including attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills


• Energetic, self-motivated interpersonal skills and communication skills with the ability to interact

with various management levels


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience, Education, Certifications, Skills


• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Management

Information Systems, or other related fields


• Previous Agile/Scrum experience or certifications is a plus (CSM, DASSM, PMI-ACP)


• Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing enterprise applications, data reporting systems, or

business intelligence platforms such as Dynamics AX, SAP S/4, NetSuite, IFS, JD


• Minimum of 3 years of previous experience related to IT Management or technology solutions

architecture


• Minimum of 3 years of object-oriented programming development experience


• Front end and backend experience, including UI, database design, data warehousing, and modeling


• Experience in multiple data integration techniques (JSON, EDI, AS2, XML, API, SFTP)


• Previous experience of Microsoft SQL Server 2016+ tools (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Job Agent, Profiler,

Activity Monitor)


• Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamix AX 2012 R2/R3 or Dynamics 2009 is a plus


• Experience with CRM applications is a plus (Dynamics CRM, Shopify, Salesforce)


• Microsoft application suite (Power Apps, Power BI, Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint,

SharePoint) or similar software


• Development experience with X , C , .NET, SQL queries and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is

a plus


• Financial and contract management experience


• Experience with database design and data modeling
