The Promo Crew assists with the preparation and execution of Community Events, runs the Iowa Wild booth at events, assists as a Mascot Handler for the Iowa Wild's Mascot, Crash, and engages with fans to help grow the sport of hockey in Iowa. Responsibilities/Essential Functions
  • Responsible for executing in-game promotional elements including but not limited to the Knee Hockey, Chuck-A-Puck sales, My First Game table, intermission activities, giveaways, and contests.
  • Responsible for selecting age and ability-appropriate individuals to participate in activities or contests.
  • Prepare supplies and props before activities and transport them throughout the arena.
  • Responsible for working in a variety of areas including concourses, ice level, and events
  • Respond in a timely fashion to the tasks assigned and report any concerns to the supervisor.
  • May be assigned to work on-ice during intermissions and post-game activities.
  • Follows proper procedures during activities to ensure the safety of participants and guests.
  • Work on internal and external events, outside of Wild games, including but not limited to festivals, business expos, parades, arena events, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements FORMAL EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION
  • Some post-secondary education is preferred, not required.
  • Some experience working with college, minor league or professional sports promotions or marketing is preferred, not required.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
  • Customer service experience preferred.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Fan-friendly attitude and willingness to initiate conversation with fans.
  • Able to work within a team and a service-oriented environment.
  • Able to deal with frequent change.
WORK CONDITIONS
  • Reliable transportation to transport event set up and materials is required.
  • Available to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays for games or events.
  • Able to attend pre-shift meetings for each event as scheduled.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc.
