VendTech-SGI currently has an Area Field Supervisor - Iowa Premium position open. This position is for a Physical Security manager of 70 full-time armed Protective Security Officers on a Department of Homeland Security contract with the Federal Protective Service. To provide 24 hours a day, 7 days a week / 365 days a year security service. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• The Field Supervisor must have management experience to ensure the performance of the work in Iowa Premium Area in accordance with sound and efficient management practices and the SOW.
• Office located in Des Moines, Iowa.
• Area of responsibility includes Federal buildings in the following Cities: Ames, Burlington, Carroll, Cedar Rapids, Coralville, Creston, Davenport, Des Moines, Dubuque, SSA Fort Dodge, Marshalltown, Mason City, Ottumwa, Sioux City, Waterloo
• The applicant's resume must detail his/her chronological work experience.
• Relevant Educational, Professional, and Contract Management experience.
• The applicant must have: Strong organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills to effectively communicate and coordinate with contract employees, staff members, and clients. Must possess the ability to organize complex material in an efficient manner. Be capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing to ensure individual deadlines are met. Self-motivated professional with integrity. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with ability to produce complete, clear, and concise communications. Available days, nights, and weekends.
• Be a United States citizen; or a Lawful Permanent Resident who is currently a member of, or who possesses a verifiable honorable discharge from, any component of the United States Armed Forces (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard)
• Been issued a Social Security Card by the Social Security Administration, which bears the individuals name and social security number
• Have verifiable documentation of one experience and one education level listed below: Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of security (armed) or one (1) year of law enforcement experience in a full-duty status with a full- service police department in a municipality, state, or federal law enforcement department within the US, and have resigned or retired in good standing; or A minimum of two (2) years of honorable service as a member of any US Armed Forces (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard) component; or
• Education Received, at minimum, either a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) from an accredited institution of higher learning, or as identified on DD Form 214. (Note: High School Diplomas from countries outside of the United States must be translated in English and certified by a Notary or an individual who is authorized to notarize documents. The document must be an original copy)
• Shall fluently speak, read, comprehend English, and be able to compose written reports in English.
• Must be 21 years of age
• Must successfully pass initial pre-employment (new hire) medical and physical examinations.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment, as well as random and reoccurring drug screening.
• Be able to obtain a Security Clearance and Background Investigation from the federal government.
