Job Responsibilities

The Investor Relations Manager is a key leadership role, ensuring a high-quality experience for clients throughout the investment process and investment lifecycle. This includes overseeing investor communications, client onboarding, closing documentation, and post-investment engagement. The role works closely with our Advisor, Due Diligence, Compliance, Operations, and Marketing teams to deliver a consistent and professional investor experience.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in investor relations within the syndicated real estate or financial services space. They are a strong communicator and systems thinker, capable of building scalable processes that enhance the client experience while supporting company growth.


Responsibilities and Duties of the Investor Relations Manager

Investor Experience & Communication:

  • Oversee the full investment closing process, including the review and submission of all required documentation, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and coordination with Advisors, custodians, and sponsor platforms.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for investor communications, ensuring timely and professional handling of inquiries, updates, and issues.
  • Oversee delivery of all investor-facing communications, including investment confirmations, quarterly statements, distribution notices, and tax documentation.
  • Work with Advisors to guide investors through the onboarding process.
  • Build scalable systems and processes to deliver a best-in-class investor experience, from initial contact through post-close follow-up and throughout the lifecycle of the investment.

Process & Infrastructure:

  • Develop and maintain internal documentation and workflows for handling investor relations tasks and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Build out training materials and onboarding plans to ensure internal team members understand and consistently follow investor relations processes.
  • Coordinate with internal teams-including Compliance, Operations, Due Diligence, and the Advisor team-to ensure timely and accurate processing of investor paperwork, including completion of closing documentation and subscription materials.
  • Identify and implement technology solutions and automation opportunities to improve investor communications, document handling, and data tracking.

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Define and track key performance indicators for investor satisfaction, onboarding cycle times, and communication responsiveness.
  • Proactively identify investor concerns, themes, or feedback to help guide broader strategy around messaging, service delivery, and retention.
  • Partner closely with the Advisor team to ensure seamless handoff of clients into the investment process, identifying friction points or training opportunities that enhance internal efficiencies.
  • Help define the ideal post-close engagement journey for investors and recommend strategic improvements to increase satisfaction and long-term loyalty.

Compliance & Coordination:

  • Establish and enforce compliance protocols across all investor documentation and data management activities.
  • Ensure investor communications and processes meet regulatory and compliance standards in coordination with internal legal and compliance stakeholders.
  • Assist with audits, due diligence requests, and reporting requirements related to client communications and data.
  • Ensure all team members uphold privacy and confidentiality standards in alignment with FINRA requirements and internal policies.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership for Investor Relations staff (including Specialists), ensuring alignment with company standards for service, accuracy, and responsiveness.
  • Guide development of workflows and best practices for document handling, file management, and client follow-up across the IR team.
  • Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and performance development of team members.
  • Mentor and coach staff to ensure continuous improvement, professional development, and role clarity across the function.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, communications, or related field; advanced degree preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in investor relations, financial services, or client service in a regulated investment environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex investment concepts into clear, client-friendly language.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities; capable of managing multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience with CRM and investor servicing platforms, such as Salesforce, Altigo, and iCapital.
  • Familiarity with alternative investments, including Regulation D, private placement offerings, and SEC/FINRA compliance practices.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism in handling confidential client data and sensitive investment communications.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to continuously improve processes and deliver excellent service.

Pay Transparency Information:

The compensation range is $95,000 - $115,000 plus quarterly bonus.


This is a full-time, exempt position

Office Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm
