Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within investment operations, trade lifecycle, or cash clearing environments
• Strong understanding of trade flow processes, including trade execution, clearing, and settlement
• Familiarity with industry-standard clearing systems and tools (e.g., DTCC, SWIFT, Euroclear)
• Proficiency in business process mapping and documentation tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, or similar)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex datasets and systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels
• Experience with Agile or Waterfall project management methodologies is a plus
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to cash clearing and investment operations is highly desirable
Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
• Hands-on experience with data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau)
• Prior experience working on cash clearing automation or digital transformation projects
Business Analyst Overview:
• We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Investment Operations Business Analyst to join the Corporate Finance Project Management Office (CFPMO).
• The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in trade flows and cash clearing processes, combined with strong analytical capabilities and communication skills to interface between business stakeholders and technology teams effectively.
• The Analyst will lead requirements-gathering sessions and use a blend of analytical techniques, business knowledge, and platform familiarity to develop detailed and actionable system and business requirements.
• This role requires a robust understanding of investment management, including asset accounting and operations. A technical inclination is preferred to assist with defining integration points and supporting system solution design.
• The candidate will play a critical role throughout the project lifecycle, helping to ensure smooth and timely delivery of projects aimed at optimizing investment and cash clearing operations.
Job Duties:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to investment operations and cash clearing
• Map and understand end-to-end trade flow processes, including execution, clearing, and settlement
• Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement in current cash clearing processes
• Develop business requirement documents (BRDs), workflows, and process models aligned with project objectives
• Liaise with technology teams to ensure requirements are accurately translated into functional and technical specifications
• Perform data analysis to monitor cash clearing operations, identify trends, and validate system outputs
• Support testing activities, including the creation of test cases and execution of user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Track and report on project progress, ensuring alignment with timelines and deliverables
• Serve as a key contact for business and technology teams throughout the project lifecycle
