Our private equity client is seeking a driven Finance Associate to join their dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Analyst or First-Year Associate from Investment Banking who is eager to transition into a strategic finance role within a fast-paced, high-impact business environment. This role is ideal for individuals with strong financial modeling, analytical, and communication skills, who are looking to move from an investment banking environment into a broader finance role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for multiple business units, ensuring alignment with company-wide financial goals.
  • Corporate Development: Support strategic initiatives related to mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and investments by conducting due diligence, financial modeling, and market analysis to identify growth opportunities and drive value creation.
  • Business Partnering: Partner with senior management and cross-functional teams to provide data-driven insights, financial guidance, and strategic recommendations.
  • Performance Analysis: Assess business performance, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to support operational improvements and profitability enhancements.
  • Modeling & Valuation: Create and maintain financial models to assess business opportunities, investments, and capital allocation.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience as a Senior Analyst or First-Year Associate in Investment Banking or a related field (Private Equity, M&A advisory, etc.) with experience in Upstream O&G
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline. MBA or CFA is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong financial analysis, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely to key stakeholders.

Compensation for this role is $150-175K (DOE) plus bonus.


this role is 5 days in office with a 9/80 schedule, located downtown
