Investment Analyst (Biotechnology) New York, NY doc Job Description About the Firm is a recently launched biotechnology investment firm based in New York City, focusing on both public and private therapeutics companies. is seeking a full-time investment professional to work directly with the two founders/portfolio managers across all aspects of the investment process, focusing on due diligence of public and private biotech companies. This is an opportunity to join a new firm on the ground floor with significant growth opportunities for high-performing analysts. Responsibilities Perform due diligence on novel therapeutics, analyzing clinical and preclinical data, synthesizing scientific literature, and conducting expert interviews Attend medical and investor conferences and interact with company management teams Prepare detailed presentations synthesizing and communicating findings and investment recommendations to the investment team Closely monitor sector developments, including company news flow, new data releases, and regulatory and competitive dynamics Build financial/valuation models Over time, the role of a successful analyst is expected to expand to idea generation, investment management, and management of other analysts Qualifications Advanced degree in medicine or science (MD, PhD, PharmD) 0-2 years of work experience in life sciences investing Intellectual curiosity about novel medicines Desire to work in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment across multiple projects Exceptional work ethic and detail-oriented personality Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely Humility and adherence to the highest standards of integrity Understanding of basic finance and accounting principles Ability to work full time from the firms New York office with occasional domestic and international travel Compensation Salary and total compensation will be competitive for this role.
